            Pregnant or just had a newborn and need help?

 

New Generation is a program that provides housing for up to seven pregnant or parenting women over 18 years of age and infants up to 12 months old.  A pregnant woman needing housing can come in at any stage of her pregnancy and stay up to 3 months after her baby is born.  A woman with an infant can enter the program  and can stay up to 6 months or until her baby is a year old.  A woman making an adoption plan may stay up to six (6) weeks after the baby is born.

Please carefully read and fill out the checked items in the left     column.  When completed Fax them to the office at (603 436-    4989) or send as attachments to Office  to complete process for interview.  Be sure to send all Information Releases (One for each agency you utilize; physician, hospital, Human Services, WIC, Mental Health, etc.)

New Generation offers shelter, food, guidance with parenting and living skills. Each resident is required to attend a weekly house meeting, parenting and nutrition meetings, perform chores, observe curfews, sign in and out, and either work, go to school, or perform community service.

A completed application from you is necessary. We also require proof of pregnancy, and a Drug of Abuse Panel (completed by your physician). Please click on the links on the left to download the items in the application packet.

When you have completed and returned the packet, a team will review your application and will make a decision regarding admission. You will be informed of the decision within 3 business days of your interview. Residents may then move in with a regular staff person between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday only. 

RESIDENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Be pregnant or parenting a child under twelve (12) months
  • Willing to share a home with others and follow home rules
  • Willing to work, to continue your education, and/or perform community service
  • Willing to learn living and parenting skills
