Who Is New Generation, Inc.?

The Shelter Program of New Generation is available to pregnant or parenting women over 18 years of age and infants up to 12 months old.  A pregnant woman needing housing can come in at any stage of her pregnancy and stay up to 3 months after her baby is born.  A woman with an infant can enter the program with her infant and can stay up to 6 months or until her baby is a year old.

New Generation's Aftercare Program provides services to previous residents of New Generation, and coordinates the resources available among the staff of New Generation and other community agencies to meet the needs of these past residents and their families.

The Transitional Apartment at New Generation provides housing for one woman in crisis.  She can reside here up to 18 months with one to two children under 11.  To be eligible the woman would need to be working or going to school and have her own transportation.  For example, a single mother may be waiting on an opening for a Section 8 apartment, obtaining additional job training to increase earnings, or rebuilding stability after a divorce has occurred.

Second Generation Thrift Shoppes provide the New Hampshire seacoast communities with a convenient and affordable shopping outlet for clothing and necessary household items. The Thrift Shoppe is accessible year round, open seven days a week, and provides many public service benefits.
