At New Generation, we are on a mission to break the cycle of homelessness among families here in New Hampshire. Through a safe shelter, transitional housing and a variety of support programs, we help mothers and their children escape the harsh grip of homelessness and build self-sufficient futures with stable housing and jobs.
Many of the families we assist face a complex web of challenges, including domestic violence, substance misuse, and financial hardships. These mothers and children often find themselves at a crossroads, with homelessness as their only alternative.
New Generation is here to shift that narrative – and we want you to be part of our mission to help us drive that change.
In the past year, 126 families have contacted us seeking help, a 29% increase over last year – and our waitlist continues to grow.
The need has never been greater, but together, as a community, we can help families, like Spenser’s, leave homelessness and difficult pasts behind them and build new beginnings for their children.
Our Services
Shelter & Transitional Housing
Our secure shelter provides 24/7 support and access to basic necessities for families facing homelessness. In this safe environment, our moms work to develop skills in parenting and financial literacy and access resources to gain employment and apply for permanent housing. Our transitional living program provides support for employed moms as they move toward permanent housing and independence.
Stabilization Services
Our highly successful stabilization services are for families that have successfully made the move to permanent housing. We provide moms with ongoing support services and connections to key community resources to help them continue their momentum toward full independence and prevent the recurrence of homelessness.
