A family’s move from our shelter into permanent housing is a big moment to celebrate. However, it can also be a stressful and costly process for our mothers and children.

While families are on more stable ground at this point, they are still in the process of building financial self-sufficiency. For most families, this is the first time they’ve had a place of their own. Starting over often requires extra support and resources to prevent a reoccurrence of homelessness, especially while trying to keep up with the growing costs of living independently.
